SmartMoney Puts Reopened Funds in the Spotlight

SmartMoney's Rob Wherry took a look at small-cap funds that lifted their shutters this year and singled out the ones that he thinks will do well when the market regains confidence. Funds that made Wherry's list include: Third Avenue Small-Cap, Century Small Cap Select, Wasatch Small Cap Growth and Allianz NFJ Small-Cap Value. A total of 75 funds reopened this year, of which 35 are small cap funds, according to Morningstar.
