BGI Drops Lehman from its ETFs' Moniker


Barclays Global Investors has rechristened 14 of its iShares exchange-traded funds to reflect the name change of their respective indexes. San Francisco-based BGI made the change Monday to retire references to Lehman indexes.

Barclays Global Investors (BGI) announced the change in name of 14 iShares exchange traded funds to reflect the name change of their respective indexes (formerly Lehman indexes) effective yesterday. Barclays Capital recently announced the indexes' name changes in order to retire references to Lehman indexes. No changes are being made to the funds' investment objectives, tickers or respective index methodologies in connection with these name changes. No shareholder action is required.
