Jittery Fund Shareholders Take to the Phones

Not surprisingly, phones have been buzzing more than usual at fund firms these past few days. Dow Jones' Daisy Maxey reports that American Century Investments saw call volumes jump about 20 percent this week, with most of the talk revolving around money-market funds. Some firms told Maxey that have witnessed net selling or seen investors move money into more conservative options.
