Putnam's CEO Is Reportedly OK with Passing the Baton

The chief executive of Putnam Investments has no qualms about relinquishing his post should the asset management firm's new owner decide to install a new CEO. Charles Haldeman, Putnam's CEO since 2003, told InvestmentNews that "if that's what they want to do, that's fine with me." He added:"“If they don’t, that’s even more fine with me. I’m really happy with this job." The $3.9 billion acquisition of Putnam by Canada-based Power Financial Corp. is expected to close next month.
