Lehman Brothers Exec Jumps to Credit Suisse

The president of Lehman Brothers Alternative Investment Management has gone Swiss. Credit Suisse announced Monday the appointment of John Kremer to lead its asset management arm's European institutional distribution.

The announcement comes two months after the revelation of massive layoffs at Credit Suisse's United States asset management unit.

Kremer will work under JC Perrig, head of distribution for asset management, and be stationed in London. Both Kremer and Perrig anticipate distribution gains in eastern Europe and the Middle East.

"We are very pleased to have Mr. Kremer join us," Perrig stated. "His leadership will be beneficial as we continue to strengthen our distribution of both traditional and alternative products in Europe, Emerging Europe, and the Middle East."

Kremer agreed. "This will be a great opportunity to work with some of the most capable people in the industry to continue to grow what is already a strong platform across Europe, and to expand our distribution to new institutional clients in Emerging Europe and the Middle East."

Before joining Lehman Brothers, Kremer worked in distribution at UBS O'Connor.
