Victory Capital Management is saying goodbye to its chief executive officer,
Rick Buoncore. Taking his place is current president of Victory,
Robert Wagner.
According to a
statement
by Henry Meyer III, Victory-parent KeyCorp's chairman and chief executive officer,
Buoncore is leaving the firm to pursue an "entrepreneurial alternative asset management venture." Buoncore will serve as a consultant to Victory during the transition. Buoncore has served as chief executive officer since 1999.
Wagner joined Victory in July 2004 as president and head of investments. Prior to joining Victory, Wagner was president and CEO of Gartmore Emerging Managers.
Victory Capital Management managed $54 billion in assets at the end of February.
