Chakarun confirms that Terry Riordan has joined the Voya asset management arm as vice president and senior regional director in the western region, covering the ultra high net worh, RIA, multi-family office, family office, private bank, bank trust, regional TAMP, and institutional consultant markets. Based in Southern California, Riordan reports to Chakarun, senior vice president and national sales manager for private wealth and advisory at Voya Investment Management.

Riordan most recently served as a regional sales director for Highland Capital Management [profile], covering Hawaii and SoCal. MFWire could not immediately reach Highland Capital Funds Distributor president Brad Ross for comment on how Riordan's duties are being handled.

At Voya, Riordan will team up senior regional coordinator Robert Van Allen.

An alumnus of Johns Hopkins, Riordan worked at American Funds and Destra Capital before joining Highland at the end of 2012. "Terry's diverse background, from financial services to professional athletics, makes him an outstanding addition to our team," Chakarun states.
