INTECH Expands Its Executive Team

INTECH Investment management has named John Brown head of global client development, according to a company press release. He'll head the firm's client and consultant relations team and work with Janus' [profile] distro team.

Brown will be based in West Palm Beach, Florida, and will report to INTECH chairman and CEO Jennifer Young.

Brown is coming to INTECH from Hartford Investment Management Co., where he was an MD on the sales, marketing, and product development group. Earlier in his career, he spent eleven years with Fidelity.

An INTECH spokeswoman told MFWire that this is a new position.

The release states that Brown's main role as the lead member of the client development team will be to focus on client service. He will also "work closely with Janus' distribution teams to implement a strategy for INTECH's investment suite across all institutional and international distribution channels."

Prior to joining INTECH, Brown spent six years at Hartford Investment Management Company, where he served as a Managing Director on the Sales, Marketing and Product Development team.  Before that, he was with Fortis Investments in Boston, where he was an Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Service and Business Development for North America. Brown also spent time as the Director of Sales at Panagora Asset Management in Boston, and notably, he also spent 11 years with Fidelity Investments in both San Francisco and Boston. There he served in various sales and client development roles including as Vice President of the Fidelity Management Trust Company. He began his career in 1986 at Aetna Capital Management in both San Francisco and Seattle. John holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 24 and 65 licenses.
