A childhood spent in an Israeli farming village combined with the study of chemistry has given Avi Nachmany a different take on who the fund industry mixes. After starting Strategic Insight with Joel Rosenthal nearly a quarter century ago, he now finds himself working for Jim Casella at Asset International.

The combination of a data gathering and statistical counsulting shop with a publisher could be an interesting combination. Meanwhile SI has become the go-to source of industry data with even the ICI relying on its research.
