Principal Financial Group's Principal Global Investors [see profile] unit (which includes its mutual fund arm) reported a net cash flow of $800 million in the third quarter.

It also reported operating earnings for Q3 2010 of $15 million, compared to $10.5 million in the prior year quarter, "primarily due to increased transaction fees and an increase in assets under management".
