Abby Johnson, president of Fidelity Personal, Workplace and Institutional Services [view profile], is the 59th most powerful woman on earth, according to Forbes magazine, which this week unveiled its list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women.

"Considered heir to the Fidelity throne, Johnson was promoted in May to oversee all client and customer-based businesses, while continuing her role as vice chair and director of holding company FMR. With a net worth of $11.3 billion, she now controls the workplace savings plans unit, retail brokerage operations and investment management businesses--with total assets of more than $3 trillion," Forbes writes.
