How Do You Ensure Consistency of Message From Your Wholesalers?

When a mutual fund firm wants to get a message to advisors, coming up with that message is only half the battle; they then have to get their wholesalers to deliver that message to advisors. Interactive Communications just launched Coach OnDemand, an online, interactive, video-based system for practicing and evaluating message delivery.

"It's a way for a firm to get quick, clear messages out through their wholesalers," explained Mary Anne Doggett, managing partner at Interactive.

The home office sends out a demo presentation to its wholesalers, who then record and re-record their own delivery of that message on their computers until they're satisfied. The home office then can use Interactive Communications' customizable Criteria Scorecard to evaluate how their wholesalers are doing.

"It's sort of the warm-up," Doggett told The MFWire. "Wholesalers typically never get that opportunity."
