Andrew Bischel, chief executive and co-manager of the
American Hospital Association Socially Responsible Equity Fund, talks socially responsible investing with
Sharon Terlep. Bischel says that being socially responsible is not synonymous with non-diversified offerings and increased volatility. He contends that there are still plenty of companies to pick from after the screens are applied. Good companies are also less likely to have disasters down the road, he added.
