Now that the State Street has its acquisition of Investor's Financial in the bag, more job cuts are looming. Back in February, State Street revealed plans to cut a total of 1,700 jobs to trim costs and duplicative positions. Then in May, State Street slashed some 360 jobs from Investor's Financial and trimmed 90 jobs from its own operations ( see "State Street Axes 450," May 15, 2007). On Tuesday morning, The Boston Herald reports that in the next 18 months, State Street will make good on it's plans to cut carry out more job cuts.
