A key mutual fund-focused executive at TD Ameritrade is moving on.

MFWire has learned that Alex Teyf, director of mutual funds and ETF platforms at the Omaha, Nebraska-based brokerage, left TD this month. Teyf is based in Jersey City, New Jersey.

"Alex Teyf is no longer with the company and his responsibilities are now shared by several employees," TD spokesman Brendan McManus tells MFWire in an e-mailed statement.

An alumnus of Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business and of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Teyf previously spent more than a decade at rival online brokerage giant E*Trade. He joined TD in 2009 in an operations role, started working with outside mutual funds in 2011, and rose to lead its mutual fund ETF platforms in 2012.
