Christopher Condron, formerly a top dog at Mellon Financial, has been tapped to be the ceo at Axa Financial, which is the American branch of French insurer Axa Group.

Bank One will provide currency overlay services to Nomura Securities International Private Funds Group to complement that latter's foreign exchange and risk management activities.
