Lincoln Financial Distributors (LFD) has a new chief to oversee marketing of its products to financial planners and intermediaries. It is also tapping a new national sales chief for the channel.
Former John Hancock senior vice president Margaret W. "Meg" Skinner will take the reigns as managing director and channel head for the firm's IPI channel, the organization within LFD that markets to independent financial planners and insurance agents. Skinner had run Hancock's Signator Investors unit and served its marketing area. She is also a former head of marketing at Allmerica Financial.
She fills the shoes of Steve Long, who had been temporarily holding the position after the departure of Bruce D. Barton four months ago. Long is senior vice president and managing director of the wirehouse and regional channel.
The other change is the appointment of Phil Cramer as IPI national sales manager. He joins the firm from MetLife Financial Services, where he was a divisional sales manager. Cramer's mandate is to further build out the firm's sales and sales management teams.
