IFS Financial Services, the distribution arm of Western-Southern Life, was missing a wholesale presence in the midwestern territory since late mid-last year, but Merry J. Cariolano has been hired as regional vice president, Financial Institutions Division.

She is responsible for the marketing and sales of Western-Southern Enterprise annuity and mutual fund products to financial institutions in Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Cariolano, was formerly a vice president and sales manager for U.S. Bancorp.
