BISYS has brought on an executive for a new position to manage its European outsourcing services. Antony D. Johnson helms the effort in the newly-created position of senior vice president of the European mutual fund outsourcing business.

As an executive manager, Johnson is responsible for business development, client service, and strategic directive. He is based in the compay's London office and is responsible for managing all the European operations.

The appointment signals the company's commitment to serve European fund industry.

"It really does signal the increasing importance that oversees business poses for the company," said a Bisys spokesperson. "Offshore business has been an area of great growth for BISYS fund services for a while."

The company is in part responding to the offshore activities of American fund firms.

Johnson comes from the Global Securities Services divison of the Royal Trust Corporation of Canada. There, he served as the managing director of sales and relationship management for Europe and the Middle East. He reports to Bill Tomko, president of BISYS Investment Services.
